Urgent care and walk-in clinic hours. This category covers AFC Urgent Care, CityMD, Concentra, and CVS MinuteClinic, the major US urgent-care and retail-clinic chains.

Most urgent care centers run 8:00 AM through 8:00 PM Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM Saturday, and 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM Sunday at the majority of locations. CVS MinuteClinic (walk-in clinics inside CVS stores) typically runs 8:30 AM through 7:30 PM weekdays and shorter weekend hours. Urgent care centers serve non-life-threatening conditions that can’t wait for a scheduled physician visit (sprains, minor lacerations, flu, infections, x-rays).

Most urgent care centers remain open on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day with reduced hours, since the demand spike for holiday-related minor injuries (kitchen cuts, sports injuries) is significant. Easter Sunday and other holidays typically run regular weekend hours.

Walk-ins are accepted at all chains; online check-in saves wait time at AFC and CityMD (most stores). Insurance plan acceptance varies by chain and state.
