Most stores run 9:00 AM through 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 10:00 AM through 7:00 PM Sunday at the majority of stores. Hobby Lobby is closed Sunday at every US store chain-wide (the only major US craft retailer with this universal Sunday closure). Barnes & Noble cafes (in-store Starbucks at most stores) run shorter hours than the main bookstore. Michaels and Hobby Lobby run frequent in-store classes (calligraphy, knitting, kids crafts) typically scheduled weekday evenings and weekend mornings.

Christmas Day is closed chain-wide. Thanksgiving Day is typically closed. Easter Sunday is closed at most stores (Hobby Lobby was closed Sunday already). Black Friday and the November-December holiday-shopping season are heavy sales periods. Halloween (Party City), back-to-school (Barnes & Noble), and Valentine’s Day (Party City, Michaels) are top-3 single-event sales periods.
